Yin yoga is a mindful, slow form of the practice with long holds of up to 3 minutes. The intention of yin yoga is to open connective tissue and joints in a safe, relaxed way. There are no standing poses, and most of the time is spent lying or sitting. Yin brings us into our relaxation mode, away from our stress response, increasing our connection to our bodies and ourselves. Yoga nidra is also known as yogic sleep or conscious sleep. It is a form of guided meditation that allows deep relaxation whilst also remaining aware.
The teacher, Lucy Lucas, is committed to teaching slow yoga and is an experienced mindfulness teacher, and will guide you through each pose. The class will end with a long guided meditation in savasana. £25 per person
